Oh, for crying out loud! What sort of stupidity is this?Leaving aside the bungled wording of this daft petition, aren't we Scots, or at least those of us who are "British subjects", all in fact EU citizens (for now, at least)? If EU citizens living in Scotland can't vote in any future referenda (pre-Brexit), then who can? What about those born in England, who identify as English, but live in Scotland, should they be excluded? Of course not. And those born in Scotland, who identify as Scottish, yet live outside Scotland, should they be included? Again, of course not, they've chosen to make their lives elsewhere. Tell me if I'm wrong, but I think we got it pretty much right as regards voter eligibility in 2014.
Perhaps this petition should have stated that only those who intend to vote in the way that suits the original petitioner should be allowed to vote in future referenda, as I suspect the aim is to reduce the numbers of those inclined to vote in favour of independence.
